Curry Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 medium cucumbers, sliced
    1/2 c. salt
    8 c. water
    1 tsp. curry powder
    2 c. vinegar
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Let cucumbers, salt and water stand for 5 hours.
    Bring to
    a boil
    curry
    powder,
    vinegar,
    sugar, mustard seed and celery seed.
    Pour over pickles and bring to a boil.
    Then put into jar and seal.
