Mildred'S Swedish Heirloom Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. ground almonds
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. water
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add sugar and salt gradually, creaming well. Add almonds.
    Mix. Blend in flour and mix thoroughly.
    Blend in water and vanilla.
    Shape in small round balls and flatten slightly.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Dip in confectioners sugar while still warm.
