Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 oz. red food coloring
1 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vinegar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar and add eggs.
Make a paste of cocoa and red coloring and add to mixture.
Add milk alternately with flour and salt.
Mix baking soda and vinegar together and add to mixture.
Pour into greased and floured pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
When cool, cut layers in half to make 4 layers.
