Oven Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew meat, cut in pieces
    6 or more carrots, cut in 3-inch chunks
    6 to 8 stalks celery, cut in 3-inch chunks
    6 or more onions
    1 can V-8 juice (1 pt., 8 fluid oz. can)
    1 bay leaf
    seasonings to suit own taste
    1 sweet green pepper
    2 1/2 Tbsp. tapioca
Preparation
    Put in well covered casserole in a 325\u00b0 oven for 3 1/2 hours. If you wish, potatoes may be added the last hour or so.
    Cover again.
