Toffee Popcorn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter (must use butter)
    2 to 4 c. mixed nuts (optional)
    1 c. light corn syrup
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 to 5 qt. popped popcorn
Preparation
    Mix together
    butter, sugar and syrup.
    Cook to 305\u00b0 or hard crack.
    Add
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
    Pour over 4 to 5 quarts popped
    popcorn.
    Add nuts and stir to cool.
    Spread on waxed paper and cool.
