Danny Koczuk'S Red Cabbage Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large red cabbage
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 small onion
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
    Gold raisins, drained and soaked several hours to plump them
    2 shredded carrots
    buttermilk or avocado dressing (buy in store)
Preparation
    Shred cabbage.
    Saute onion in oil and cool; then toss with salad.
    Add carrots and drained raisins.
    Add vinegar/sugar mixture and salt/pepper and toss salad well.
    Add dressing when ready to serve.
    If serving on individual plates, add the dollop of dressing to the center of the salad; do not mix.
