Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion
    1 bell pepper
    2 to 3 green onions (optional)
    2 to 3 jalapeno peppers (optional)
    2 to 3 cloves garlic, diced
    1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans (optional)
    1 (16 oz.) can light red kidney beans (optional)
    1 (16 oz.) diced tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 lb. kielbasa or Italian sausage
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. marinated, browned beef tips (reference other recipe)
    hot sauce (optional)
    chili seasoning
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Sweat chopped onions, peppers and garlic. Combine beans (optional), diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Cook over medium-high heat until it begins to boil, then reduce to lowest heat and simmer. Add sweated vegetables and chili seasoning. Brown kielbasa or Italian sausage, cut into 1-inch cubes, then add to chili. Deglaze saute pan and add to chili. Add marinated, browned beef tips with sauce (reference other recipe). Simmer over low heat for 1 hour. Add salt and pepper to taste. If necessary, thicken with cornstarch.
