Rocky Road Peanut Butter Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped peanuts
    1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. peanut butter
    6 c. Triples cereal
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    2 c. miniature marshmallows
    1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Heat syrup and sugar to boiling in heavy 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Immediately remove from heat; stir in peanut butter until melted.
    Place cereal in large bowl. Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal, stirring until well coated.
    Cool 2 minutes.
    Stir in marshmallows.
    Press mixture in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch rectangular pan.
    Sprinkle with peanuts. Heat chocolate and shortening over low heat until melted; drizzle over squares.
    Let stand until chocolate is set; cut into 2-inch squares.
    Makes 24 squares.
