Black-Bottom Banana Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. baking cocoa
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Blend in the bananas. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Divide batter in half. Add cocoa to half; spread into greased 9 x 13 pan. Spoon remaining batter on top. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Cool. Makes 2 1/2 to 3 dozen.
