Ingredients

2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. chopped, pitted dates
2 1/2 c. corn flakes
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. grated orange
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut
Preparation

Combine eggs, sugar and dates in a cold lightly buttered skillet.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and rind.
Blend in cereal. Drop level tablespoons into coconut.
Shape into balls, coating with coconut.
Chill.
Makes 32 to 36 cookies.
