Georgia Squash Casserole(A Family Favorite) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. cooked squash
    3 slices bread
    3/4 c. milk
    small onion
    1 small jar chopped pimiento
    2 eggs
    salt and pepper to taste
    2/3 stick oleo
Preparation
    Blend onion and milk.
    Add 1/3 stick oleo.
    Beat until oleo melts.
    Pour over bread and mash with potato masher.
    Add squash. Mix well.
    Add eggs and pimiento and seasonings.
    Pour in buttered casserole.
    Sprinkle with crushed crackers and other 1/3 stick oleo.
    Sprinkle with sliced almonds, if desired.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 until set and lightly browned.
