String Beans With A Chinese Flavor - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. French-cut green beans (10 oz.)
    3/4 c. chicken stock or consomme
    1 small onion, sliced thin
    1/8 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook first 3 ingredients until tender-crisp.
    Moisten cornstarch with a little cold water.
    Add ginger, garlic salt and soy sauce.
    Add 1/4 cup hot chicken stock and stir.
    Return to hot vegetable.
    Cook until thickened.
    Season to taste.
