Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1/3 c. Crisco
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
Preparation

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Add Crisco, vanilla and half of milk.
Beat 2 minutes.
Add rest of milk and eggs.
Beat 2 more minutes.
Mix walnuts into batter. Bake in 2 nine-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
