Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/3 c. cocoa
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
    3 tsp. vanilla
    1 pkg. marshmallows
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening together.
    Add eggs and beat.
    Sift flour and salt.
    Combine cocoa.
    Add to sugar mixture.
    Add nuts and vanilla.
    Pour into greased 13 1/2 x 9 1/2-inch pan.
    Bake 30 minutes at 300\u00b0.
    Remove from oven and cover with marshmallows. Return to oven about 10 minutes to melt marshmallows.
    Then ice with frosting.
