Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. self-rising flour
2/3 c. sugar
1 c. mashed banana
1/3 c. shortening, margarine or butter
2 Tbsp. milk
2 eggs
1/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour and sugar.
Add mashed banana, shortening and milk.
Beat with electric mixer on low speed until blended, then on high for 2 minutes.
Add eggs and remaining flour; beat until blended.
Stir in nuts.
Pour batter into a greased 8 x 4 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack.
Remove from pan and cool thoroughly.
Makes 1 loaf (16 servings).
