Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/4 c. water
    1 can tomatoes
    1/2 c. tomato puree or sauce
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. oregano
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    4 chicken pieces
Preparation
    Boil onion, water, tomatoes, tomato puree or sauce, garlic powder, oregano, and pepper in saucepan for 10 minutes to simmer for flavors.
    Place chicken in frying pan.
    Pour sauce over chicken.
    Cook, covered, over low heat until chicken is tender, about 45 minutes.
    Uncover and cook 15 minutes more to thicken tomato sauce.
    Makes 4 servings.
