Granny'S Baked Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/3 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. scalded milk
    nutmeg to taste
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Blend eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla. Gradually stir in cooled milk.
    Pour into custard cups.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Place cups in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
    Pour hot water into pan within 1/2 inch of cups.
    Bake about 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
    Remove cups from water.
    Serve warm or chilled.
