Special Day Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1/3 c. milk
    3/4 c. rolled oats
    1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 c. water
    1 medium head, cabbage, coarsely shredded
Preparation
    Combine ground beef, onion, seasonings, sour cream, milk and oats; set aside.
    Combine tomato sauce, tomato paste and water. Pour 1/3 of the sauce into Dutch oven.
    Place 1/2 of the cabbage over sauce.
    Spread beef mixture over cabbage.
    Cover with remaining cabbage.
    Pour remaining sauce over cabbage.
    Cover tightly.
    Simmer for 1 hour or until cabbage is tender and beef mixture is done.
