Ingredients

2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. melted butter or margarine
2 small boxes frozen strawberries, thawed and drained (save juice)
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
Preparation

Beat eggs until light and fluffy.
Beat in buttermilk; add soda.
Sift dry ingredients together and add to egg mix, beating after each addition.
Stir in butter.
Fold in strawberries (mince in blender first).
Bake on buttered griddle until bubbles form but do not burst.
Turn.
