Sausage Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices English muffin bread
    butter
    1 lb. bulk sausage
    1 1/2 c. cheese, grated (i.e., Old English sharp Cheddar)
    6 eggs, beaten
    2 c. half and half
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Remove crusts from bread.
    Butter bread; place in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Cook and crumble sausage until brown; drain. Spoon over bread slices.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Combine eggs with half and half and salt; mix well and pour over cheese. Cover; chill overnight.
    Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes, or until set.
    Serves 8.
