Savory Italian Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour (unbleached)
    3/4 c. red onion, finely chopped
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. pine nuts or sunflower seeds
    1/3 c. olive oil
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. pesto
    3/4 c. grated zucchini
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine the flour, onion, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nuts.
    In another bowl, whisk together the olive oil, buttermilk, eggs and pesto, if desired. Stir in the zucchini and add liquid mixture to the dry ingredients.
    Stir just to moisten thoroughly.
    Spoon the batter into greased pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until tester comes out clean. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove to a rack to cool completely.
