Marinated Cabbage Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. shredded cabbage
    2 large green peppers, chopped
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 pt. white vinegar
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients.
    Set aside.
    Mix and bring to a boil; boil for 5 minutes.
    Pour over cabbage while still hot; mix well. Chill at least 24 hours before eating.
    This will keep for months.
