Caramel-Apple Coffeecake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
    1/3 c. old-fashioned rolled oats
    1/3 c. milk
    1 large egg, slightly beaten
    1 medium-size Cortland, Idared or Jonathan apple, peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
    3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 8-inch square baking pan.
    In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt.
    With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in 1 stick butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    With fork, stir in milk and egg, mixing lightly until mixture just clings together and forms a soft dough.
