Holiday Lemon-Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. oleo or butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs, separated
    2 oz. pure lemon extract
    4 c. flour (plain)
    1/2 lb. glazed pineapple, chopped
    1/4 lb. glazed red cherries, chopped
    1/4 lb. glazed green cherries, chopped
    1 lb. raisins, dredged in flour
    1 qt. chopped pecans, dredged in flour
Preparation
    Beat butter with sugar, adding 1 cup sugar at a time.
    Add egg yolks 1 at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add lemon extract.
    Add flour, glazed fruits and pecans.
    Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Pour into lined and well-greased tube or loaf pans.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for 2 hours in tube or 1 hour and 15 minutes in loaf pans.
