Pork Creole And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 pork steaks, chops or boneless pork, cut into 1-inch cubes
    1 Tbsp. oil or shortening
    1/2 c. sliced or chopped celery
    2 c. tomato sauce
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. leaf basil
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    1 onion, sliced
Preparation
    In large frypan, brown steaks in hot oil.
    Drain off excess oil.
    Add remaining ingredients; stir to combine.
    Bring mixture to a boil.
    Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 30 minutes until rice is cooked and steaks are tender.
