"Souffle Froid Au Chocolat" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
    1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    1 c. milk
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. heavy cream
Preparation
    Melt chocolate squares over hot water.
    When melted, stir in confectioners sugar.
    Heat milk and add to mixture; bring to boiling point, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Add gelatin, softened in 3 tablespoons cold water, granulated sugar, vanilla and salt.
    Chill until slightly thickened.
    Beat until mixture is light.
    Beat cream and add to chocolate mixture.
    Pour into 2-quart dish.
    Chill 2 to 3 hours.
