Almond And Mushroom Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 Tbsp. onion, finely chopped
    6 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. long grain rice (uncooked)
    1 qt. chicken broth
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
    1 1/2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
Preparation
    Saute onion and almonds in 3 tablespoons butter in a large, heavy saucepan until onion is soft.
    Set aside.
    Add remaining 3 tablespoons butter to saucepan and saute mushrooms until golden brown.
    Add onion and almonds to mushrooms, along with rice.
    Cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Mix in chicken broth and salt.
    Bring to boil.
    Remove from heat and turn into a lightly greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Cover and bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
