Indian Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 apples, cored
    12 tomatoes
    9 onions
    3 green peppers
    3 c. brown sugar, packed firmly
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Put apples, tomatoes, onions and green peppers through food chopper.
    Combine with vinegar, brown sugar, salt and spices.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until most of liquid has evaporated.
    Pour into sterilized jars and seal immediately.
    Makes 10 pints.
