Ingredients

1/2 c. sweet butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
3 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Beat butter, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in electric mixer for 2 minutes or by hand until well blended.
Sift together the salt, baking powder and flour.
Add to butter mixture and blend well.
Form the dough (which will be sticky) into a ball and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
