Sunrise Cherry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (8 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 or 2 (8 oz.) containers Cool Whip
1 graham cracker pie crust
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Drain pineapple well, reserving 2 tablespoons juice.
Combine softened cream cheese, vanilla and 2 tablespoons juice, mixing well.
Stir in 1/4 cup pineapple and 1/2 cup pie filling. Gradually add sugar to cream cheese.
Add Cool Whip and pour into crust.
Top with remaining pineapple around top and edges.
Pour remaining pie filling in center of pie.
Chill overnight.
(You may put layer of bananas on bottom of crust first, then add filling.)
