Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    6 medium potatoes, grated
    1 c. sour cream
    1/4 c. chopped onion (optional)
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 lb. butter
Preparation
    Cook potatoes after peeling just until fork can go in.
    Cool and shred.
    Combine cheese and butter; heat until melted.
    Blend in sour cream.
    Add onion, salt and pepper.
    Add potatoes.
    Put in a 9 x 13-inch Pyrex pan (greased).
    Can be frozen for later use or bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
