Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
3 eggs
1 graham cracker crust
Preparation

Mix sugar and butter until smooth. Melt chocolate and let cool.
Add cooled chocolate to sugar and butter mixture; blend until smooth. Add vanilla and cream of tartar, mix well.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, mixing well between each addition.
Mix until smooth.
Pour into pie shell.
Chill until firm.
Top with whipped cream.
