Hobo Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yeast pkg.
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. ginger
    1 can evaporated milk
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    4 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast into 1/2 cup (lukewarm) water, add sugar, ginger, milk, shortening, and salt to water.
    Mix in flour 1 cup at a time with wooden spoon.
    Divide butter into 2 or 3 coffee cans.
    Put the lids on the cans and set in a warm place to rise until the lids pop off.
    Bake without lids for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0 in center of oven.
