Mom'S Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 pkg. candied cherries
    1/2 box raisins
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 c. shortening
    3/4 c. grape juice (concentrate)
    1 jar blackberry jam
    1 bag figs or 1 box dates, chopped
    2 c. chopped nuts
    2 tsp. molasses
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. brown sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. bourbon or brandy
Preparation
    In a large bowl, cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, molasses, juice and jam. Sift all dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients alternately with bourbon. Stir in cherries, figs, dates and raisins. Pour into 3 (9-inch) greased and lined cake pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
