Skillet Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter or bacon fat
    4 to 5 medium cubed raw potatoes
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 c. boiling water
    1 tall can evaporated milk
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Melt butter or fat in pan over low heat.
    Add potatoes and onion.
    Cook and stir until most of the fat is absorbed (3 to 4 minutes).
    Add water; stir in milk.
