Jeff Davis Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 c. light cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg whites
    6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until
    foamy.
    Add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating after each addition until sugar is blended. Continue beating until stiff peaks
    form.
    Bake in a slow oven until lightly browned.
