Buttermilk Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (15 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 (6 oz.) box Jell-O (peach, lime, orange or lemon flavor)
2 c. buttermilk
1 (9 or 12 oz.) container Cool Whip
Preparation

Heat pineapple (with juice) to just below boiling point.
Add Jell-O; stir to dissolve.
Cool to room temperature.
Blend in buttermilk and refrigerate until partly set.
Fold in Cool Whip. Refrigerate until served.
Add chopped nuts, if desired.
Serves 12 to 15.
