Aunt Esther'S Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 or 6 qt. popped popcorn
    2 c. dark brown sugar
    2 sticks margarine or butter
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    Pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 250\u00b0. Bring all ingredients except popped corn and soda to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and carefully add soda. Pour over the popped corn. Place in oven for 1 hour. Stir every 10 to 15 minutes. Yum!
