Lemon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
finely grated rind of 1 lemon
2 unbeaten eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts
juice from 1 lemon
1/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Combine first 5 ingredients by hand.
Add flour, salt, baking powder and chopped nuts.
Mix and bake one hour in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 or until toothpick comes out dry.
Remove from oven and while still warm (hot) pour over the top the juice from lemon mixed with 1/4 cup sugar.
Let stand until cold and remove from pan. (This bread is a sweet tea type bread, is simple to make as all mixing is done by hand.
Bread freezes well.)
