Country Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 3/4 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over raisins, add butter, sugar and egg to water and raisins.
    Mix.
    Add flour, soda and salt.
    Blend all ingredients.
    Add chopped nuts and mix.
    Grease and flour three No. 2 tin pans.
    Spoon batter into pans filling each 1/2 full. Bake in preheated oven at 250\u00b0 until dark brown.
    Insert knife into middle, when it comes out clean, bread is done.
    Approximately 30 minutes.
