German Coffee Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. shortening
nutmeats
Preparation

Combine dry ingredients; beat in eggs, milk and melted shortening.
Pour into large cake pan and over top; put 1/4 cup butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 4 tablespoons flour and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, mixed together.
Sprinkle with chopped nutmeats.
Pecans are especially nice.
One-half of recipe makes a small cake.
