Vegetable Pilaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/3 c. water
1 tsp. chicken soup base (or bouillon)
1/2 c. long grain rice (uncooked)
1 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 c. shredded carrots
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. chopped fresh parsley
1/3 c. sliced green onions
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Combine 1 1/3 cups water and soup base. Bring to boil. Add rice; cover and reduce heat. Simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Add mushrooms, carrot, water, parsley, onion and pepper to rice. Stir well. Cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
