Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bacon
    1 small onion, diced fine
    1 c. boiling water
    2 c. diced potatoes
    3 c. warm milk
    2 (10 oz.) cans baby clams
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp.
    Remove bacon and put into a deep, heavy pot.
    Add onion; cook until transparent but not brown.
    Add water and potatoes; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes.
    Add milk, clams, 1 can clam liquid, salt and pepper. Heat just to boiling.
    Season to your taste.
    Makes approximately 8 cups.
