Dixieland Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cucumber, peeled and sliced paper-thin
1 medium ripe tomato, sliced paper-thin
1 white onion, sliced paper-thin
1 tsp. sugar
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 c. vinegar
Preparation

Place vegetables in a bowl in layers, sprinkling sugar, salt and pepper on each layer. Cover with the vinegar, using more if necessary. Let stand for about an hour before serving.
