Strawberry-Nut Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
1 c. boiling water
pineapple juice, plus cold water to make 2 c.
2 (10 oz.) pkg. sliced strawberries (with juice)
1 lb. 4 oz. can crushed pineapple
3 medium bananas, mashed
1 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
1 pt. sour cream
Preparation

Dissolve jello in boiling water. Add pineapple juice and water, strawberries, bananas and nuts.
Turn half of the mixture into a 12 x 8 x 2-inch dish as first layer.
Refrigerate until set.
Spread top evenly with the sour cream.
Gently spoon rest of strawberry mixture on top and refrigerate.
Cut in squares and serve on lettuce.
