No Crust Shoo-Fly Cake(From 1975 Edition) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. dark molasses
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients like pie dough.
    Mix water, molasses and baking soda in a large bowl.
    Reserve 1 cup of the crumb mixture.
    Mix rest of crumb mixture with the liquid mixture. Sprinkle the 1 cup of crumbs on the top.
    Put into a greased oblong 9 x 12-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
