Molasses Crinkle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. soft shortening (half butter)
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses (dark)
    2 1/4 c. Gold Medal flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar, egg and molasses thoroughly.
    Measure flour by dip-level-pour method.
    Mix all dry ingredients.
    Blend with wet mixture.
    Chill dough.
    Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts.
    Dip tops in sugar.
    Place sugar sides up 3 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
    Sprinkle each with 2 or 3 drops of water.
    Bake 10 minutes in ???\u00b0 oven.
