Hip Patter Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 c. uncooked rolled oats
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine milk, 2 tablespoons butter and chocolate in top of double boiler.
    Cook over hot (not boiling) water until chocolate melts.
    Add vanilla and cool.
