Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 onion
    2 c. frozen corn
    milk or cream
    2 c. potatoes
    2 c. water
    2 carrots
    2 tsp. snipped parsley
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/8 tsp. white pepper
Preparation
    Place corn in 2 cup measuring cup; add milk or cream to 2 cup mark.
    Chop potatoes, carrots and onion.
    Saute margarine and onion in large kettle.
    Add remaining ingredients and cook until potatoes are tender.
    If you wish to thicken the chowder, mix together 1 tablespoon flour and 1/2 cup water.
    Add to chowder and cook until thickened.
