Spicy Pear-Carrot Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) can pear halves, diced (reserve liquid)
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 Tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. shredded carrots
1/3 c. raisins
lettuce leaves
Preparation

In large bowl, combine 2 tablespoons reserved liquid (from pears), vegetable oil, vinegar, sugar, ginger, salt and nutmeg. Add carrots and raisins; toss to blend.
Gently stir in pears. Refrigerate until chilled.
Serve on lettuce lined plates.
